Everything was better than I expected. The service, the selection, the overall experience. Atmosphere wasn't awful, would have been nice to have lights outside to see the landscaping, otherwise a stellar dinner! I recommend the duck with a glass of red wine.

Honestly the best food I’ve had in recent history! We went there 3 times in 2 days. The staff is so enthusiastic and joyful! The host (Ross) is super fun and a great singer (for birthdays). The second waiter Cam was awesome and super quick, he was fun and always on top of it. Our waiter Dorothy was super awesome and extremely nice and knowledgeable. I will come here again if I ever get back in this area.
This was our first visit to Dalles House and we were not disappointed! The ambiance, the music, the staff, and oh my the food! Everything was more than I was expecting. Fantastic! Absolutely fantastic! We will be back; it’ll probably be a new tradition to come from the cities. I love the classic supper club vibe and the decor is stunning. Sparkly ceilings, retro sconces, beautiful wallpaper, and those wine velvet chairs! The staff were all so welcoming and friendly and especially our server Christian, he gave us some really nice recommendations. The food was unique, fresh, and delicious! Do not miss out on this fabulous place! Oh, and try the fun drinks too.
From the moment I walked in the door I was so impressed! The host on a Saturday night was a tall man, so charismatic— so good at his job!! He made the experience magical— we had a fabulous server and everything we tried was a serious 10/10!! We started with calamari (best calamari I’ve ever had), finished with salads, delicious pop overs, a ribeye cooked to perfection paired with deep fried jumbo shrimp and a side of mushrooms for my steak. Absolutely divine dining at the Dallas House on a Saturday night!
If you want a real special treat. Check out this place you will not be sorry!! Uniquely & wonderfullly decorated with 1920s type music - The service was spectacular ( Kendra was our waitress she was everything you'd want in a server. just super awesome! ) even the man seating us ( Ross ) had an awesome personality SO WELCOMING & PERSONABLE ! My husband & I both agree.. OUR NEW FAVORITE RESTAURANT HANDS DOWN ! It is totally worth the drive! ( From Cambridge for us ) We had Caesar salad with a homemade popover "*YUM! "* ribeye steak - "* lobster tail - the loaded baked potato was amazing too! Everything was just stellar! for "* Dessert Scott had bread pudding with Maple nut ice cream and I got the creme brulee BOTH AMAZING ! Every single bite from start to finish was SUBERB ! They deserve all the Michelin stars ! . Reservations after 4:00 are highly recommended ! WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK ! ALOT ! Price points were right on for the quality of food this was! ( we also came for lunch one time and ordered hamburgers which were really really good as well ! You will definitely love this place check it out!
This place is a hidden gem. Outstanding food, Service and it’s beautiful. We were in Taylors Falls, which is just across the river for three nights and we ate at this restaurant twice. Unheard of from my husband and I. The prices are really good the food really good And the garden outside is beautiful. I definitely recommend getting to this place. Definitely get the popovers.
We went to the Dalles House restaurant to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary on Saturday evening. I have always loved going there. We shared a delicious bottle of wine and both ordered the king cut prime rib with salads for starters and sides of popovers, au gratin potatoes and fresh asparagus with bearnaise sauce. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable and the food was cooked perfectly and it came very quickly. Such a beautiful dinner and the flavor was to die for! I cannot tell you how much I love this place! I will never tire of going there. We had Brandy Alexanders for dessert and they tasted sooo good. I highly recommend the Dalles House to anyone looking for good, high quality food, reasonable and fair pricing a fun atmosphere with friendly and genuinely nice staff and a beautiful setting overlooking a gorgeous courtyard. The best part is all of the food we got to take home with us to enjoy another delicious meal! Thanks to everyone who made our evening such a wonderful and memorable success.
The great service started during the phone call to make a reservation. The host (later identified as Ross) was extremely forthright and helpful. They were busy and the earliest dining room reservation was for 8PM, but Ross told me we were more than welcome to come to the Lounge at any time and the entire menu is available there as well. We arrived around 7:30 and were told our table would be ready at 8... it was. In the meantime we ordered drinks at the bar where Adam made us the best Dirty Martini's we've had in a long time. The great service continued when we were sat and our server Christian introduced himself. His knowledge of the menu and what was and wasn't available on that occasion and time, was very helpful. His recommendations were spot on. I had the Duck and my wife had a Filet, and both were fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant for the service alone, but they crushed it with the food as well. Ross, Adam, and Christian all clearly care about putting their best foot forward and represent the establishment very well... all of them should be commended.
